Náhodou jsem narazil na horkou novinku, která se týká vývoje nového Doom Editoru. Jedná se o Slade 3 od doomera SlayeRa. Ten doposud kromě velikého počtu map vytvořil také dva editory. SLumpEd, který umožňoval podobně jako XWE či WinTex editovat grafiku, zvuky, hudbu,... a Slade, který byl zase obdobou Doom Builderu nebo WadAuthoru. A nutno podotknout, že oba byly velice kvalitní.
Vývoj Slade si pak prošel pak před 3mi lety verzí 2., která skončila pouze u betaverze a teď, po třech letech se SlayeR vrací s verzí 3. Ta by měla spojovat funkce obou jeho předchozích editorů a měl by pak tedy vzniknout komplexní editor pro téměř veškeré funkce a možná velice šikovná alternativa k už zavedeným aplikacím. Již jsou k dispozici pro testování ranné betaverze.

Mě DB1 padá vcelku dost, ale pořád je to nejlepší varianta. WadAuthor mi příjde dost neohrabanej a omezenej a na interface DB2 si porád nemůžu zvyknout.
Asi to bude tím, že jsem to neinstaloval!
Já normálně používám DB1 jedna, ale taky mi často padá a píše chyby.
DB1 je velice stabilní editor, mně zatím spadnul asi jen dvakrát (a že už jsem v něm přece jen něco namapoval). Navíc nepadá při jistých akcích jako WadAuthor - tuším, že je to nějaké špatné připojení vertexů a hlavně přiřazování stran úsečky určitému sektoru v jejím nastavení, což je tuze užitečné. :-)
