Dnes jsem zjistil, že existuje Odamex IRC fórum. Najdete ho na irc serveru irc.oftc.net pod kanálem #odamex. Je to třetí použitelný irc kanál po #Doom.cz na serveru ircnet a po #zdaemon na freenode serveru.
Na kanálu #odamex se asi moc často nekecá, ale nadhodil jsem otázku, na jaké verzi ZDoom, že je Odamex postaven. Dozvěděl jsem se, že na 1.22. To mi přišlo strašně nízké, tak jsem se zeptal proč ne na nějaké vyšší (1.22 to je snad rok 1999 ;). A hned pět/šest důvodů:
- It wouldn't have Heretic or Hexen
- also ZDoom 1.22 is simpler
- gotta start somewhere!
- odamex anyways aims to emulate the behavior of the original doom executables, so it's based on an old version of zdoom that is more bare than newer ones
- also csdoom had a client/server base, while zdoom does not
Takže jestli máte rádi protokol IRC, tak můžete sledovat tento kanál a občas se něco dozvědět, nebo do něčeho kecat.

Jo ten graf od Ghostlyho je úžasný, jde na něm pěkně vidět, ten vývoj, a upozorňuje, že Odamex je csDoom a ne ZDoom. Zdoom1.22 -> csDoom -> Odamex, takže bacha na to ;-)
