14. listopadu 2009 (minulou sobotu) vysílala televize Nova Prima film Doom. V sobotu i v neděli se tedy mnoho lidí zajímalo, co to ten Doom je, zadali to do vyhledávačů (nejvíce www.seznam.cz) a přicházeli na web Doom5 i na Idoom. Oproti ustálené (nízké) návštěvnosti těchto webů to udělalo pěkné vrcholy v přehledu roční statistiky.
Návštěvnost Doom webů již několik let klesá. Návštěvnost Doom5.cz je tento rok cca 3000 měsíčně, v roce 2006 to bylo cca 7500 (tehdy šlo o předchozí web Doom-server). Po vydání Doom 3 zájem o hledání a tudíž i návštěvnost poklesly, další rána pro scénu byla likvidace GameZone, kdy zmizel diskuzní prostor a jednoduché domlouvání her. GameParku se již nepovedlo Doom sekci obživit, což souvisí i se snadno ovladatelnou a pestřejší nabídkou ZDaemonu a SkullTagu. Trochu časem promyslím co s tím dělat a rozepíšu pohled, web Doom5.cz (který jsem loni spustil) byl první krok, kterým se snažím scénu pozvednout.
