Kdo hrajete Doom přes ZDaemon určitě jste se setkali s pojmem lag i jeho projevem při hře. Hra se na chvíli (desetinu vteřiny, vteřinu...) "zastaví", pravděpodobně díky poruše spojení od klienta na server, či přehlcením serveru. Zní to jako banalita, ale Doom není komise šetřící plzeňskou právnickou fakultu, záleží na každém okamžiku, a takový lag přijde zrovna, když máte soupeře na mušce, blik a jste na zemi...
Proč ale tak obecný úvod - zajímal by mě jeden druh lagu. Velice často ho potkávám na Obláčku v místnosti Brit10 a týká se hlavně "vyšších zbraní" tj. BFG, malé plasmy a raketometu. Vystřelím z BFG, ozve se normální zvuk vystřelené plazmy, proběhne animace výstřelu a ... nic. Nenásleduje výboj, respektive výboj jde do prázdna, nikomu v zorném poli se nic nestane. Pokud střílím salvu, tj.držím tlačítko střílení, vypustím akorát salvu vadných neškodných výstřelů.
Dobře, tak by se dalo říci, že to tu střelu nepobralo. Jenže i při vadném výstřelu se vyčerpá daný počet energie, jako by to byla normální střela, třeba energie 200 klesne po výstřelu z BFG na 160, po dvou v salvě na 120. A teď to zajímavé - hra si po cca vteřině od ukončení střelby "uvědomí", že střela byla falešná a stav energie se vrátí na původních 200. Čili výsledkem dvou výstřelů je... nic.
Nechápu co to je za kravinu. Jak se vůbec něco takového může dít a proč? Slyší ostatní hráči zvuk BFG, nebo to je jen takové divadlo pro jednoho?
